History:

From a young age, Yayoi Ulshade has been involved with the battle against the ancient beings known as the Deboss Army. While not being directly involved until recently, she has always been by the side of her grandfather, Dr. Ulshade, who was the original KyoryuViolet. Because her parents are never seen, it can be assumed that her grandfather raised her. As she grew up, she watched her grandfather develop the various Kyoryuger devices for a team of future heroes.

When these heroes were finally assembled, her grandfather took his partner Zyudenryu, Plezuon into space to further research the Deboss Army, leaving her in charge of the lab where the weapons were developed, and also to keep an eye on the team's progression for him.

A few months passed, and Dr. Ulshade returned, having discovered new information on Deboss on a far-off asteroid It was then that she was able to meet the Kyoryuger in the flesh, in particular their leader, Daigo Kiryu, whom she had developed a deep crush on while observing the team. But their meeting would be cut short as Deboss would start reviving it's strongest members to crush the Kyoryugers, as they had done to the dinosaurs in the past. Even worse, Dr. Ulshade, who is an excitable old man, to the point where he can easily injure himself, got hospitalized by throwing his back out in-battle. This left her with the task of upgrading Plezuon on her own. While this wasn't normally a difficult task for her, the fact that Deboss was executing several plans at once, one being a secret infiltration of the lab by an off-shoot of the Debo Monster, Debo Virusson, who wrecked havoc on the lab and the relatively defenceless Yayoi while the Kyoryuger were occupied with an attack on a water supply. While their short-lived victory there destroyed the off-shoot, Yayoi was still left in a crumbling, decimated lab, and would have died if Plezuon, who had been experiencing a glitch in the upgrade process, and was unable to move himself, hadn't teleported her away to safety.

As distraught over her apparent failure to her grandfather and her allies as she was, she couldn't stay that way for long, as Deboss began attacking her. But luckily, Daigo saved her in the nick of time (even though he'd been injured in a battle with a revived Dark Species Deboss along with the others). He quickly sends her on her way back to the lab, while he began to fend off the again-emerging Deboss leader. Scared and confused, Yayoi uses Daigo's comforting words to help herself focus on what went wrong with the upgrade, and discovers that it was lacking one of the team's core power sources: human bravery. And with that, she dove into Plezuon's body to add her own fleeting bravery to him, so that he might help Daigo outside. The upgrade being successful, Plezuon was able to combine with Gabutyra and Bunpachy, the only remaining uninjured mecha, and were able to defeat Deboss and revert him back into a dormant state (though the Kyoryugers thought him dead at the time), seemingly finishing off most of the Deboss leadership in the process.

This victory convinced Dr. Ulshade that it was finally time to give his mantle to Yayoi, a position she'd been hoping for all her life. But her surprise over this was disconcerting, as she found herself still unable to properly use Plezuon's Beast Batteries. She eventually runs off in embarrassment after being forced to reveal this in front of her now-teammates. Her despair was then used by the remaining Deboss members to attempt to freeze the human population through their tears, Yayoi herself being trapped in a rapidly-growing chunk of ice. As the battle continued, Amy and Daigo managed to pull her out of the ice by reminding her off her own desires, and building her confidence. This tactic managed to allow her access to her KyoryuViolet form, and he aided the others in finishing off her captors, leaving only 2 Deboss members remaining. But after this, Dr. Ulshade decided that she needed some space and took her away for more training, and further research into power-ups for the team.

But this didn't seem to last for too long, because Yayoi was soon back among her friends with a new power-up for Daigo: something to attune him closer to Gabutyra. But during the testing, a glitch occurred, causing Daigo turn into a humanized Gabutyra (mainly just him walking around like a T-Rex, growling). What didn't help matters was that the previously-thought deceased Deboss leadership had turned up alive, with a new, more powerful ally in Endolf, Knight of Resentment. And while Yayoi and Amy started to search for Daigo, who had run off, Endolf created two monsters and had started to hunt the now-feral humansaur.

After failing to find him, Ian makes sure that Yayoi focuses on what caused the glitch in the first-place, and leads the rest into battle against Endolf. Doing further research into the matter, going on a lead about Gabutyra's own feelings, she suddenly realizes the mistake made, and rushes off to the battlefield, in time to give a healed Daigo the good news: that Gabutyra was meant to use the Battery and not him. This revelation allows Daigo to access KyoryuRed Carnival, and to fight off Endolf and destroy one of his monsters.

Unfortunately, this isn't the end of Endolf's schemes. He soon turns his focus to the Kyoryuger's mentor, Torin, meaning to capture him. They succeed, and manage to take control of him with an evil melody. The reason for their ease of his control was soon revealed: Torin was a Deboss traitor. Pitted against the main team of Kyoryuger and their combined mech KyoRyuJin, he ends up sacrificing his life to stop himself. The entire team of nine, now fully united for the first time, mourned the loss.

This didn't last long however, as they discovered that stones they'd all come in contact with, or had been collecting, reacted to Torin's petrified body. Yayoi joined with the two Spirit Rangers, Ramirez and Tessai, to hold off the advancing Deboss forces, as the rest tried to revive Torin. After managing to do so by using a special song of revival that activated the stones fully, Torin and the entire Kyoryuger team managed to fight Endolf off, wounding him into retreat.

Personality:)

Yayoi is a very shy and reserved teenage girl. While most of the time she tries to act composed and knowledgeable, any slightest hiccup might cause her to lose focus or confidence. Her confidence is the more fragile of the two, and should she fail at something big, either leading to her friends injury or disappointment, she will break down. But she is greatly determined as well, and when properly guided and focused, can achieve great insights and bravery.

She admires her grandfather greatly. He inspired her as both a scientist, and a Kyoryuger. Though she will become embarrassed and frustrated with his behaviour and perchance for self-injury via overexcitment.

Her love and admiration for her grandfather spilled over to the newer Kyoryuger, leading her to admire their bravery and strength in the heat of battle. While she hasn't made close bonds with a majority of the team, she has created two solid bonds with Daigo and Amy.

In Daigo, Yayoi discovered someone she could intensely look up to. Admiring his seemingly perfect personality and strength, she became fascinated with him, detailing everything she could find out, and eventually fell in love with him. This has created a number of embarrassing moments, when she accidentally showed everyone (excluding Daigo) her 'findings': a holographic montage of pictures of him. Daigo also serves as a pillar of strength for her. She takes his words at face value and allows them to keep her confidence high.

In Amy, however, she sees a rival. She seems to have gotten the idea in her head that Amy has feelings for Daigo, and wants to show herself to be the better choice. But this thankfully doesn't interfere with their teamwork, or their friendship. Amy doesn't seem to even realize Yayoi's conclusion and acts normally towards her, even becoming a secondary pillar of support, and acting like an older sister.

Strengths: Yayoi's strength flows from her determination and intelligence. Being raised all her life around various high technology, and having worked on various giant mecha, tools and weaponry, she is quite apt on researching and forming new items or plans.

Her arsenal includes her Gaburevolver: a gun that acts as an output for Beast Batteries, as well as a transformation device. Using two of the batteries at once will allow for a finishing strike.

She also has a GabriCalibur, a sword sidearm that can also use Beast Batteries for powered-up slashes. It also can combine with the Gaburevolver to form the GaburuCannon, a weapon with a larger output of fire, which Yayoi uses as her main weapon. But unlike her teammates, she'll use it with the GabriCalibur's blade as a bayonet.

Though it hasn't been used in canon, the Plezuon Beast Battery can be used as to make a third weapon: the Plezuon Rocket, and it can be safely assumed that this is the Armed-on weapon for KyoryuViolet (thus-far only KyoryuRed has used it on-screen).

Her partner is Plezuon: a mechanized Plesiosaur. When charged with it's corresponding Beast Battery, it enters Battle Mode, and can further transform itself into a space-capable rocket. It can transform further into a humanoid mech, Plesu-Oh. In this form, it can do a Snapping Combination with smaller ZyuDenRyu to give itself one additional weapon, or with Gabutyra and Bunpachy to form Exploding KyoRyuJin.

Weaknesses: As mentioned before, Yayoi has wavering self-confidence. This can cause her to lose faith in herself at critical moments, or to panic when something unexpected happens.

Possessions: She will have her GabuRevolver, GabuCalibur, and Plezuon's Beast Batteries. She'll need a charger, similar to Utsusemimaru's.

She also has her glasses, which while being purely cosmetic in nature, also houses a small computer, which can project holograms if tapped on the frame. This can be nerfed as needed, of course.

She'll also have her Zyudenryu, Plezuon, normally a large Plesiosaur mech which can change into a rocket and a humanoid shape. Scaling down, he'd become a small plesiosaur, no bigger than a large bird. Of course, he won't be able to transform in this state, but using a beast battery on him would make him large enough to give someone small a boat ride.

SAMPLES

First Person:

It has been...a difficult adjustment coming here. While I've met a great deal of nice people here, I've been having trouble coping with the changes to my body.

But, I hope with further insight and research, that I shall overcome my obstacles.

That being said...I did have one question to start out with: do we have some kind of equivalent to fingerprints? My glasses are coded with a fingerprint lock...and I doubt simply putting my hoof to the area will work sufficiently.

[She's poked from behind by her partner. She'll bend and pick him up.]

Also, Plezuon wants to know where the best fishing area is. Though...I do want to warn you his appetite is much bigger than his size would suggest. He is a dinosaur after all.

Third Person:

Yayoi is busying herself with exploring her new surroundings, trying to make a mental map of important places as she goes, likely looking quite busy as she does so. Once in a while she might accidentally bump into someone, by virtue of being too engrossed in her work.

But she's quick to bow and to say a quick, “Sorry!”, and then scamper off, cheeks blazing.

“Mou...Plezuon, I wish you'd warn me before that happens.”

She'll look slightly discouragingly back at her partner, who'll give a tiny, but happy-sounding growl back at her. Shaking her head, she's soon back to work.

“I wonder if this place is in some sort of parallel dimension, or whether it's a totally different world? It feels so peaceful, where-ever it is. No Deboss anywhere in sight. None the less, we should help out, when we can, right?”

Another cheerful roar from her partner will bring a bright smile to her face. Nodding, she'll make her way down to the water's edge. Her partner has to eat sometime.
